🚨 Big Mistakes You're Making By NOT Reading the Fine Print

Plus, Why You SHOULD Book Your Thanksgiving Flights NOW!

There are many excellent websites and resources that can help you save a significant amount of money on everything from travel to events.

This email is focused on uncovering the hidden fine print that might be costing you more than you realize!

❌ 7 Mistakes You’re Making By Not Reading The Fine Print

PayPal: While I highly support PayPal as a payment platform, you can still be billed repeatedly by the same merchant despite only agreeing to one transaction.

For example, you might sign up to use a service once but if a merchant categorizes your PayPal transaction as a “recurring charge”, you can face repeated billing. This is a particular problem for so-called “free trials.”

Free Trials: Speaking of free trials and “one time” subscription fees, the fine print for many companies sometimes holds you responsible for an entire year of a subscription or product if you fail to cancel your free trial before a cut-off date.

The Apple App Store will show you the renewal date and the upcoming charge

I find this is most common with phone app’s on the Apple or Google Play Store, so it’s good to check the current subscription status of all your apps to ensure you don’t have a looming large fee coming your way.

Real Estate Contracts: are notorious for having non-compete clauses and other very restrictive terms that may tie you to a real estate agent for longer than you’d like.

If you discover a home or rental beyond a typical real estate term, you could still be responsible for paying a real estate agent even after you’ve terminated your agreement with them so always double check this clause.

Event Catering: Brides and grooms often have their hearts on a special wedding cake. Before you book a venue or caterer for a wedding, anniversary or birthday party, double check that you can still reach out to a favorite baker without violating the terms of your catering contract.

Timeshare Contracts: As a whole, these are some of the worst contracts you’ll ever encounter. It’s worth spending the time to learn what you are really agreeing to in perpetuity - or having an experienced contract lawyer or paralegal explain it to you.

Never agree to purchase a timeshare on the spot even if it’s a “once in a lifetime offer you need to sign right now.”

Airlines: In the event of a delay, cancelation or lost luggage, many airlines will offer you the bare minimum. Explore the terms and conditions for an airline thoroughly and advocate for yourself.

You might be offered a $30 meal voucher when you should actually be receiving a free night in a hotel for a canceled overnight flight.

Credit Card “Perks”: Many credit card agreements contain tricky fine print about perks. For example, the car insurance they offer is often secondary to your personal policy, meaning your primary insurance is used first.

It is important know that MOST of the insurance provided by your credit card will only cover any remaining balance.

đź‘€ EXCLUSIVE TRAVEL TIP

Here is why you should book your Thanksgiving travel in two weeks!

As a valued YouTube subscriber, I wanted to give you a quick heads up tied to a topic I will not be covering on my channel. Domestic Thanksgiving Airfare is expected to be at its most “reasonable pricing” between August 19 and August 30.

New data from Hopper and an article from The Vacationer both suggest booking your Thanksgiving flights by late August for the best selection of seats/flights and lowest airfare.

From my personal experience, I’ve found that by the time the Labor Day travel deals drop, they are geared more toward Christmas travel and any so-called “Thanksgiving Travel Deal” is scarce and almost always more expensive than booking in late August.
