❌ Do NOT Buy These Products in September

Plus, 5 Items You SHOULD Buy & Exclusive Costco Deals!

Following the non-stop cycle of Labor Day sales, it’s sometimes easy to forget the remaining weeks of September accompany some fantastic value.

This week I’ll reveal your best and least beneficial buys for the month alongside another top website to save you money!

What’s included this week:

What To Avoid Buying This September

Cruises: As tempting as it might be to plan a cruise right now, your savings will be much more exaggerated if you can wait until November to book.

Cruise deals are the strongest type of travel-related saving on Black Friday. As a bonus, the Tuesday that follows Cyber Monday on December 3rd has been dubbed “Travel Tuesday” with a huge pay-off for those who can wait.

Halloween Items: With the exception of the large animatronic pieces at warehouse clubs and novelty finds at dollar stores that will not be restocked, costumes and candy will cost up to 40% less if you can complete your purchase in the last two weeks of October before Halloween.

Toys: I understand you may not be able to wait until the two weeks that precede Christmas for the best toy deals of the year (especially if there are birthdays quickly approaching in your household).

My advice would be to wait at least until October! Both Walmart and Amazon have massive sales planned the week of October 8th that will include toys.

Your 5 Best Buys In September

Airfare (not for Thanksgiving): If you have a trip planned after Thanksgiving or if the cost of airfare affects whether a Christmas vacation can happen, September ushers in a fantastic series of sales from most major and discount airlines throughout the month.

Just last week as an example, Frontier re-launched its “All You Can Fly Pass.”

Coffee and Coffee Machines: With National Coffee Day right around the corner on September 29, you will see bargains on all types of brewers, pods and capsules well before the big day.

There are some fantastic promotions at the warehouse clubs right now and Nespresso machine reductions are scheduled all month long on Amazon.

Bicycles: With up to 60% of the U.S. succumbing to snowy every winter, bike manufacturers and resellers know their time is limited to sell you a bike. With fall serving as a fantastic time to go biking, the bargains are plentiful.

You will find great promotions at your local bike shop alongside major sporting goods stores.

Grills: Just pick your favorite store to shop from, and you will find a grill, barbecue or smoker on sale right now. Anything that did not sell on Labor Day is at an even steeper discount right now (perfect for tailgating season).

Example of some of the sales at Home Depot right now

While we will see sales shift to clearance pricing for Columbus Day in October, your selection will be much more limited then.

Bedding, Mattresses and Linen: Most of the big sales that debuted on Labor Day are still running and that will remain the case for the remainder of the month.

If a mattress on sale is still not within budget right now, you’ll get a second chance on Prime Day in October and then again in November for Black Friday.
