💳 Why You May Want a AARP Membership in 2025

Regardless of age, anyone can take advantage of an AARP membership. With some newly revamped benefits for the spring, I wanted to showcase my favorite benefits, some of which are not always on the radar of members.

1) Cheaper Theme Park Admission: With summer break just around the corner, a membership perk a lot of people aren’t aware of is the theme park discounts. It is not often you see discounts at places like Disney World or Legoland, so with how pricey tickets are, this perk could save a significant amount of $$$!

2) Glasses and Prescription Lenses: We all know how much Optical products can add up so 20% off frames and 50% off prescription lenses with purchase of a complete pair at Lenscrafters is not a bad deal.

3) $40 Off An Annual Walmart+ Membership: If you’d benefit from quick free order and grocery delivery with no minimum, discount fuel perks and other savings tied to pets, auto care and streaming with Paramount+, this new 40% off membership deal is strong.

4) Entertainment: There has been a recent increase in the number of movie theaters where members can save up to 40%. Select Regal, AMC and Cinemark theaters not participate with details here.

5) Travel: While I’m never blown away by the average savings of 10% on hotels, the up to 35% off discounts from car rental companies could potentially save you some serious cash during your next vacation.

BONUS PERK: For any readers who happen to be AT&T customers, AARP will also net you $10 OFF per line on your phone bill.

🚨 NEW Shopping Info You NEED To Know!

⛽️ Circle K Fuel Rewards: Members of Circle K's Inner Circle rewards program can access discounts of up to 40 cents off per gallon at participating locations. Details here.

BONUS TIP: If you’re closer to Costco Gas stations, a reminder Non-Costco members can still purchase fuel at using a Costco Shop Card, which can be purchased by anyone.

🏨 FREE MARRIOTT POINTS: Marriott is giving 1,500 bonus points if you link your Marriott and Uber accounts by 4/16, no purchase necessary. This one-time offer is only for members who haven’t linked their accounts yet.

💳 United Airlines Just Raised Credit Card Fees — But Added Some Perks:
Starting later this year, annual fees on several United Airlines credit cards will increase, but come with new perks like Instacart+ memberships, United travel credits, and 10% off some award flights.

Many changes will take effect this August 2025 and the impacted cards include the United Explorer Card, Quest Card, and United Club Infinite Card.

🧢 Walmart+ Week: Walmart has just announced that Walmart+ Week is returning from April 28 to May 4, 2025, offering exclusive perks to paid members. Here are just some of the perks on offer during this week:

Free Express Delivery: One-time free delivery within 1 hour during the promotional period.
Fuel Discount: Save 50¢ per gallon at participating Exxon and Mobil stations nationwide.
Burger King Offer: Get up to two free sandwiches daily (one Croissan’wich and one Whopper Jr.) with a $1+ purchase, at least one hour apart, via the BK app or website.
Streaming Subscription: Receive 6 months of Paramount+ with SHOWTIME; separate registration required.
Walmart Cash Bonus: Earn $5 Walmart Cash when using Scan & Go in-store on a $15+ order.
