🔍 NEW HIDDEN GROCERY FEES TO WATCH OUT FOR

Grocery prices are already sky-high, but what most shoppers don't realize is a significant portion of that cost comes from sneaky hidden fees that are easy to miss.

Here are some of the charges my family watches for to save money every shopping trip:

• Convenience Fees: Pre-cut fruits, veggie trays, and prepared foods can cost up to 2–3x more than whole produce. Pre-chopped lettuce is one of the worst culprits.
  

• Antipasto Bars: Those olives and pickled veggies you often see sold by weight are the exact product you can find for half the price in jars and cans in other sections of a grocery store.
  

• Digital Coupon Trap: Those sale price tags on the shelf? Many only work if you clip a digital coupon in the store app first. Miss this step and you'll pay full price at checkout.

• Pickup & Delivery Fees: Service charges or “small basket fees” can add 10–15% to your total, even with “free delivery.”
  

• Online Price Markups: Grocery delivery and pickup prices can be 10–25% higher than in-store.
