🚨 NEW Shopping Info You NEED To Know!

🎧 LOWEST PRICE ON AIRPODS PRO 2: Costco just dropped the lowest price ever on Apple’s AirPods Pro 2 that come bundled with AppleCare! (only available for in-store or via same-day delivery)

While they did just release the AirPods Pro 3 a few weeks ago, this model will still give you active noise cancellation, USB-C charging and their (fairly new) hearing-aid feature.

⛽ SAVE $1 PER GALLON FOR ONE DAY ONLY: On October 3rd, Amazon Prime members can save $1 per gallon at participating gas stations nationwide through a new one day only promotion.

This could easily knock $10 - $20 off a single tank for larger vehicles which is why I’m flagging this date early in the event you want to plan ahead.

BONUS TIP: For anyone who loves a chicken nugget from McDonalds, Amazon is also offering a free 10 piece chicken nugget meal for any Prime Members who activate their free Grubhub+ membership and place a McDonald’s order that totals at least $20. (and that INCLUDES the nugget meal!)

✈️ Priceline Fall Travel Sale: Priceline has launched a fall travel sale with up to 60% off the “Express Deal” section of their website, plus an extra 5% off with code EXTRA5.

Promotion is located half way down the link provided

While it may seem a bit daunting to book a hotel without first knowing its name.. there are websites who have found some clues on how to better identify it before you confirm your reservation.

BONUS TIP: If all of that seems too complicated, Hyatt is currently running a 30% OFF sale for all World of Hyatt members (their free loyalty program) for 3+ night bookings made before Sept 30th.

💵 MORE NEW AMAZON CREDITS: After the overwhelming positive feedback I got from all of you on last weeks Free Amazon Credits section, here are three more brand new opportunities to get some cash back while shopping for everyday essentials.

✍🏼 SHARE YOUR SAVINGS!

Here are some recent subscriber submitted money-saving tips:

Cindy from NJ writes: “Upgrade to the executive Costco membership. In October, the anniversary of my membership date, I get 2% back on my purchases for the past 12 months. The first year I made the difference back, so the upgrade was free and every year after that, I receive a check in excess of the $120 membership fee so I essentially get my entire membership paid for and have left over to help pay for an impulse buy.”

Kay J had two tips to share: “Cut down on your dryer use by putting an extra tension rod in your shower. I use hangers to hold wet clothing to dry; then fluff with no air for 5 minutes in the dryer”

“If eggs are found on sale, scramble, place in small freezer bags and freeze. Use as normal scrambled eggs or in baking.”

George K Writes: “It looks as if the Midea Air Conditioner company is having a 1.8 million unit recall. The units may not drain properly, allowing a buildup of mold that may cause respiratory infections, allergic reactions, coughing, sneezing and sore throats. The company will repair or replace the units, which were sold under brand names Midea, Danby, Frigidaire, Insignia, Comfort Aire, Keystone, LBG Products, Mr. Cool, Perfect Aire and Sea Breeze. Consumers can go to CPSC.gov, and search "Midea Recalls" to determine if their units are affected.”

📦 What You NEED To Know About October Prime Day!

Amazon just announced the return of its annual “Prime Big Deal Days” aka their second Prime Day event that always seems to arrive a month before Black Friday.

This year the sale will take place on October 7 and October 8, where from my experience you will see large reductions on a lot of stocking stuffers, household essentials and gadgets that seem to be in high demand for the holiday season.

Last year we saw Mug/Candle Warmers going for UNDER $7!

This event is great from a budgeting perspective as it breaks up your holiday spending so you are not forced to cram it all in over Black Friday, or even worse.. the weeks right before Christmas and Hanukkah. Plus, if what you want is not on sale this time around, you’ll have Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and December markdowns to fall back on.

As always, I’ll be providing full coverage when the time comes right here and on my YouTube Channel (each morning of the sale).

💬 Ask The Deal Guy

To get your question answered, simply respond to this email with any money-saving related question and feel free to include your first name so I can address you properly.

💡 Donna L Asks: “I don’t live anywhere near a Costco but I know they have online shopping. Is it worth the membership price?”

Excellent question Donna! My thought is a standard Costco membership can pay for itself in terms of savings after just 3-4 online purchases during the holiday quarter (on bigger ticket items) or about 6-8 every day items over the course of a year. Just keep in mind that most items on Costco’s website will be priced higher than in the warehouse due the inclusion of shipping and handling costs.

💡 Tiffani H (from south Costal Georgia) writes:Thank you for your hard work finding so many deals each month. When might be the best time to buy a quality, large above ground pool? Ours gave up this year after 7 year.”

Hi Tiffani, so sorry to hear about your pool! A 7 year run is not long enough. Pools are at their lowest prices the first two weeks of August at Warehouse clubs and then phased out thereafter. This is an example of an excellent sold out deal we’ll likely see again in June for about $100 more before prices drop again.

💡Jamie A. Writes: “Huge fan of yours by the way. My question is when’s a good time to buy espresso machines? I’ve been eyeing up one from Delonghi but it’s a little pricy. Just wondering if you have an inside scoop.

Hi Jamie: Thank you for improving my self esteem!! The higher-end Espresso machines like the Rivelia only see reductions around Black Friday but there will be some other DeLonghi models reduced for Amazon’s October Prime Day October 8 - 10.
