🚨 NEW Shopping Info You NEED To Know!

🛒 Amazon Prime Day 2026 Dates Finally Revealed: Precisely 15 days from now (June 23rd - June 26th), Amazon Prime Day 2026 will be in full swing, making it one of the longest and earliest Prime Day events we've seen in recent years.

🥤 FREE Iced Tea from Raising Cane’s: Raising Cane's is giving away a free 22oz iced tea through June 10th, no purchase needed.

Head to raisingcanes.com/icedtea, and use the word "Brewed" to claim it.

💰 HUGE Amazon Promos to Save You $$$: Looking to stock up before Father’s Day? Amazon is currently offering a $10 discount when you spend $50 on select food and pantry essentials, with the savings automatically applied at checkout.

For any music or audiobook lover, Amazon is also currently offering a rare 4 month’s free of Amazon Music (YMMY for prior subscribers), or 3 months free of Audible if that’s more your thing.

✈️ Unlimited Summer Flights For $199: Frontier's GoWild Summer Pass is back and gives travelers access to unlimited Frontier flights through September 30 for $199.

Taxes and fees do still apply, but if you have access to a Frontier flight from where you live, there are some excellent destinations on this list.

🎯 Target Circle Deal Days is back: Target Circle Deal Days will run this year from June 23 - 26 and will feature up to 45% off thousands of items. I will admit, I typically see better savings over Prime Day, but if anything does catch my eye, you will see it in this newsletter.

Bonus Tip: Circle members can also stop by Starbucks inside Target on June 23 for a free hot or iced brewed coffee or a free Bullseye Cookie.

🚗 Buy A New Car, Get A $1,500 Amazon Gift Card: Prime members who buy or lease an eligible new vehicle through Amazon Autos can receive a $1,500 Amazon gift card.

You must complete checkout by June 26 and take delivery by June 29 but if you’re already searching or in the market, it’s at least worth being aware of this unique perk.

📦 How Amazon Prime Day Has Changed in 2026

If you're planning a major purchase this summer, now is the time to start preparing. Outside of it coming early and spanning 4 days, here is how how Prime Day is different this year:

You Can Win A $1,000 Amazon Gift Card: Amazon is giving shoppers a chance to win one of 100 $1,000 gift cards by creating deal alerts through Alexa. If you already own an Echo device, it takes only a minute to set up and could be worth the effort.

Prime Members Can Get A $5 Pizza: Prime members can purchase a large Little Caesars pizza for $5 between June 15 and June 26. The offer can be redeemed multiple times, making it one of the more practical Prime Day perks announced so far.

There Is Also A Grocery Sweepstakes: Spend $15 on qualifying Amazon grocery purchases and you'll be entered for a chance to win free groceries for a year. Amazon says there will be 100 winners and $1 million in prizes awarded.

Price History Is Finally Easier To See: Amazon now displays price history on many product pages and allows shoppers to create price alerts through Alexa Shopping. I mentioned this a few weeks ago, but it becomes much more useful during Prime Day because it helps separate real deals from inflated discounts.

Start Building Your Shopping List Now: The best Prime Day strategy is still the simplest one. Make a wishlist before the sale starts, and then just open that when the sale begins to avoid impulse purchases that only look like deals because of a countdown timer.

‼️ BONUS TIP: Amazon owns many brands that you might not realize are them including Ring, Blink, Eero, Happy Belly, Wag, Mama Bear, Rivet and Pinzon. I would NOT buy anything from any of these product lines until Prime Day begins.

✈️ How To Save Money on Travel This Summer

With the recent surge in flight and hotel prices, here’s are some tips I would use to stay sane and save money if you are planning a last minute summer getaway.

🗓️ Travel The Last Week Of August If You Can: Families with school-aged children usually travel earlier in the summer. I've found that airfare, hotels, and attraction pricing often become more reasonable during the final week of August as demand begins to cool provided you can steer clear of Labor Day.

🎟️ Look At CityPASS Before Booking Attractions: My family is heading to San Antonio this summer, and we cut our attraction costs by almost 50% simply by purchasing CityPASS before our trip. If you're visiting a major tourist destination, it is one of the first things I recommend checking before buying individual tickets.

💺 Compare Nearby Airports Before You Book: A short drive can sometimes save hundreds of dollars especially for summer fares. I regularly compare nearby airports before booking because the difference in airfare can be significant, especially for families.

🪪 Always Check Membership Discounts: Before purchasing tickets, hotels, or rental cars, I check AARP, AAA, Costco Travel, Sam's Club Travel, and other membership programs. Costco Car Rentals remains one of my favorite way to save especially on warm weather road trips were driving is often more attractive than flying.

🛒 Buy Summer Essentials Before You Leave Home: Sunscreen, beach toys, pool floats, bottled water, and basic medications are often marked up heavily in tourist areas. I always buy these items before leaving because the convenience-store prices can be painful. If necessities are too bulky to ship, ask your hotel if they’ll accept an Amazon delivery or Instacart the items to where you’re staying if you’re without a vehicle.

BONUS TIP:

🏨 Book Hotels With A Fridge And Microwave: A hotel room with a refrigerator and microwave can save a surprising amount of money. Properties like Hyatt House, Residence Inn, and Homewood Suites make it easy to store drinks, snacks, leftovers, and simple meals instead of paying restaurant prices for every meal.

Here are some recent subscriber submitted money-saving tips:

Kaycee writes: "Hi Deal Guy! Don't forget to mention that buying a new or used car through Costco can save you thousands, and you can sometimes get a Costco gift card once the deal is complete. My friend just did this and saved over $8000 on the used car she wanted.”

Deborah from CA writes: "We love your videos and newsletter. Last week, Susan from Texas mentioned the app in her local library that lets users with a library card borrow books and videos online-saving her lots of money by not purchasing them. The app is called “Libby” and the majority of US library systems use this same app. By the way, you can also borrow current magazines for up to seven days. They offer about 100 titles and a great selection.”

Anthony from LA writes: "The Hunter backpack at Costco (the online deal in the #1 spot on last week’s newsletter) is $19.97 in person. I am a teacher and it is perfect for all of my tech and supplies. P.S. My wife and I love your videos and cadence. Keep up the great work!"

D.N. Asks: “When will Costco offer the $40 gift card for getting their Gold Star membership again?”

Hi! Costco tends to rotate membership incentives several times per year, usually through partners like Groupon and StackSocial. While there’s no confirmed date for the return of a $40 Gold Star bonus, I would not be surprised to see another offer appear later this summer. If you don't need a membership immediately, I would wait.

Lee Asks: “Will anyone have a good deal on window unit air conditioners this month?”

Yes Lee! Prime Day and competing sales from Home Depot, Lowe’s, Walmart, and Best Buy should make late June one of the better times to buy. If you're looking for maximum cooling power, keep an eye on the 23,000 BTU LG LW2423HRSM and this Frigidaire FHWW245WE2 competing 24K BTU model, both of which have already seen modest discounts.

Kimi T. Asks: “I'm on the lookout for a new shop vac right now. The one we have at the moment is super powerful and gets the job done, but it's just enormous and takes up way too much room. I'm thinking something around the 8-gallon mark.”

Hi Kimi! I would wait for Prime Day on this purchase. Shop vacs are one of the categories that frequently see some of their lowest prices of the year during Amazon's sale. If you want something smaller but still powerful, I’ll have some big deals from RIGID, Craftsman and there’s a 6 gallon model that I own and like from Amazon Basics.
