🚨 NEW Shopping Info You NEED To Know!

🛒 $15 Sam's Club Membership Deal Is Back! New members can currently join Sam's Club for just $15 for the year, which is the lowest price I’ve seen on their membership in a very long time!

BONUS TIP: If you're replacing tires this summer, Sam’s currently has highly competitive pricing paired with free installation on select tire purchases through July

🚨 Bath & Body Works' Biggest Sale Of The Season Is Here: The Semi Annual Sale begins today (June 15th) with major markdowns across body care, candles and seasonal products.

This is typically one of the best opportunities all year to stock up without paying full price and I even use this as a time to stash aside awesome finds for future holiday gifts.

🧽 Free Car Washes for 30 Days: Tommy's Express is giving new customers a free month of unlimited car washes just for signing up for their text alerts.

If you've got a location near you, that's a full 30 days of washing your car as often as you want at no cost. (This does roll into a paid membership after the trial, so set a reminder to cancel if that is not of interest to you)

🎧 Apple AirPods Pro 3 Hit A Record Low Price: The newest AirPods Pro have dropped to $179 (down from $249) on Amazon, which is among the lowest prices I've ever tracked for a current generation model.

📸 Free 4×6 Prints at Walgreens: For a limited time Walgreens is giving away 5 Free 4×6 Photo Prints with the code “FIVEJUNE”.

Reminder: You must select store pick up as your delivery option and this coupon does have a redemption limit, so if this is of interest to you, I would act quick!

✈️ Costco Travel Just Added A Huge New Perk: Costco Travel has partnered with Viator, giving members access to more than 400,000 tours and activities with an automatic 15% discount.

One of my favorite family memories was a guided hike I found through Viator in Sedona (and I'm not exactly an expert hiker). This is not sponsored, but this service has genuinely become one of my favorite tools to compare tour prices and interchange with reputable companies.

Here are some recent subscriber submitted money-saving tips:

Kimber from VA writes: “To add to last week's comments from Susan in relation to borrowing ebooks from libraries to save money on book buying, you can check out the website reciprocard.com to see if your library participates in reciprocal sharing with other libraries. Lastly, Amazon Prime members can take advantage of First Reads, a perk that provides a free digital book each month. In June, members can choose two free titles from a selection spanning a variety of genres.”

Pete from FL writes: “Before renewing any subscription, I set a reminder on my phone 30 days before it renews. Almost every streaming service, antivirus program, and membership I've called about has offered me a discount to stay. Last month alone I saved more than $80 on annual renewals.”

Greg from OH writes: “I never buy household essentials without checking the warehouse club websites first. Even after factoring in shipping, I've found better prices on paper towels, detergent, batteries, and coffee than I could get locally.” **My extra tip for Costco shoppers: Download the Costco app and navigate to the “Warehouse” tab at the bottom. That will show you the price at your LOCAL STORE, vs the online pricing that can often be higher due to shipping/delivery fees included in the price.

🧐 Hidden Senior Discounts Most Stores DON’T Advertise

🔎 Kohl's: Shoppers age 60 and older can receive 15% off during Kohl's Senior Discount Day. Ask at checkout or check your local store's event calendar before visiting to see when the next discount day is scheduled.

🔎 Ross Dress for Less: Ross offers a 10% senior discount every Tuesday for shoppers aged 55 and older. To use this, simply tell the cashier you want to use the senior discount before you pay.

🔎 Michaels: You can sync your senior status to a free Michaels Rewards account via a quick online verification for 10% off any transaction (including sale items!). Once synced, the discount is automatically applied to all online and in-store purchases without having to manually request it from a cashier.

🔎 AMC Theatres: Many AMC locations offer discounted senior admission pricing every day. Select the senior ticket option online or ask for senior pricing when purchasing tickets at the theater.

🔎 Goodwill: Most Goodwill locations offer a hidden Senior Discount of 10% to 30% off on one or two days each week. The discount day(s) vary by location so I would call your local store to see what days they run this promotion.

🔎 IHOP: IHOP have a dedicated, permanent 55+ menu available all day that features slightly scaled-down portions of their most popular items, priced roughly 20% to 30% lower than the standard menu.

🔎 T-Mobile: T-Mobile offers heavily discounted, nationwide unlimited 55+ plans starting at around $30 PER line for two lines. (unlike AT&T and Verizon, which restrict their senior plans exclusively to Florida residents)

🔎 Hyatt & Marriott Hotels: Both chains offer Senior Rate pricing at many participating properties for travelers age 62 and older (and it’s often more competitive than the discounts other hotel chains offer). When booking online, select the Senior Rate option from the Special Rates menu to compare it against standard pricing.

🔎 Amtrak: Seniors aged 65 and older can save 10% on most Amtrak rail fares nationwide. If you're taking a cross-border trip into Canada on trains operated jointly with VIA Rail, the age requirement drops, giving anyone 60 and older the exact same 10% discount!

🔎 LensCrafters: AARP members can receive savings 50% off lenses, 20% off select frames and discounts towards eye exams at participating locations. Mention your AARP membership before ordering or ask a store associate to apply any available discounts (some of which are available online too). I will link to a discounted AARP membership here if that is of interest yo you!

Which lesser-known senior discounts did I miss? Reply to this email and let me know so I can share with everyone in an upcoming newsletter.

💬 Ask The Deal Guy

To get your question answered, simply respond to this email with any money-saving related question and feel free to include your first name so I can address you properly.

Ellen P. Asks: “Powerful but very lightweight vacuum for senior woman that lacks arm strength - any ideas for me? Thx!”

Hi Ellen! I am not yet a senior but I severely lack upper arm strength. I’ve been a huge fan of the Shark Stratos from Costco and its nearest sibling that’s ultra powerful and already at Prime Day pricing is Shark Iz163H at 40% off. I expect it’s price to increase slightly and then drop again to this same low for Prime Day so buying now is fine.

Karl G. AsksI've been notified by Netgear that my Orbi router will no longer get security updates starting next month (July). Thinking of the upcoming Prime days, would that be a good time to shop for one (and do you have a particular model that you would recommend)?”

Hey Karl… while the notification you got stinks, the timing is excellent. As a budget router, I’ve been pleased with TP-Link routers and they will all be on sale. The eero Pro 6E is my top overall value pick, while the eero Max 7 is an excellent choice if you're looking for maximum performance and future-proofing. The app, interface and ease of use puts the Eero ahead of any router in my opinion. I would wait for Prime Day(s)!

Estelle Asks: “I've been a follower for a while now, love your content especially now with the current economy it comes in so handy when budgeting! With Prime Day coming up I could use help investing in a better camera system. I currently have Ring however with several break-ins into cars recently including mine and stolen Amazon packages, I want to find something that continually records and is not motion activated. Can you help?”

Hi Estelle! I’m so sorry to hear about the break-ins. Since you're looking for continuous recording, I'd move away from battery-powered cameras and consider a wired security system. The Reolink 510BH is my value recommendation, while the Lorex Fusion 4K is another excellent option. Both support 24/7 recording and local video storage, so you won't miss activity that motion detection might overlook. Not to sound like a broken record, but I would wait for Prime Day.

‼️ BONUS TIP... for the MANY wonderful people who asked questions about laptops, headphones and tablets, please wait for Prime Day! Your deals will be here in one week.

What NOT To Buy Before Prime Day 2026

Home Security Systems: Ring and Blink are both Amazon-owned brands and have historically received some of the deepest Prime Day discounts. If you've been considering a video doorbell or security camera, I'd wait a few more weeks.

Smartwatches: Apple Watch, Samsung Galaxy Watch and Fitbit devices are frequently featured during major shopping events. Prime Day has become one of the most reliable opportunities for discounts.

Laptops: Many manufacturers save some of their strongest promotions for Prime Day week. If your current computer still works, patience could pay off.

Robot Vacuums and Upright Vacs: Prime Day has become a major shopping event for robotic floor cleaners and upright cordless / stick vacs. Premium models often receive discounts that are rarely seen at other times of the year.

Small Kitchen Appliances: Air fryers, coffee makers and countertop appliances tend to see significant discounts as retailers compete for attention.

Gaming Accessories: Controllers, headsets and gaming storage devices are commonly discounted. Even shoppers who aren't gamers can often find gift opportunities.

Pet Products: Amazon has expanded its pet category significantly and Prime Day often delivers excellent pricing on pet supplies, treats and accessories from their own brands as well.

Back To School Tech: Tablets, printers and student electronics are beginning to enter promotion season. Waiting could unlock additional savings as retailers compete for back-to-school shoppers.

TVs: Prime Day is one of the best times all year to buy a television. Premium Samsung and Sony models often receive major discounts while LG, Toshiba and Fire TV models frequently hit seasonal low prices. Certain Warehouse Club TV deals are just as competitive as a point of exception.
